Improved claim processing

Improved service has also been important.  Many clearinghouses ‘bundle’ batches of claims
from many providers – blocking the ability to track each claim file. One error in a single
claim can result in the rejection of an entire file.

With Post-N-Track, every Tarboro claim file is treated as a separate transaction. “Our claims aren’t mixed in with thousands of others,” said Williams, “If there’s an error, I receive an immediate notice via email.  The Post-N-Track team also responds quickly, to explain the
issue and help us fix the problem.”

The Post-N-Track system also splits Tarboro’s files automatically if an error is detected in
a few claims – the ‘good’ claims continue on for payment, and only the errors are returned
for review.  “This eliminates unnecessary processing delays and accelerates reimbursement,” noted Williams.

HIPAA compatibility issues eliminated

The Post-N-Track link also eliminates HIPAA compliance problems for the Tarboro Clinic. 
“Every large payer has a HIPAA ‘Companion Guide’, with their custom modifications to
the standard HIPAA transaction formats,” explained Williams, “I don’t need to worry about compatibility issues with Post-N-Track. Their system automatically transforms our claims
to meet the payer’s requirements.” As a result, Tarboro’s claims run into fewer problems.

 

Enhanced privacy and security

Security and privacy are also maintained for every client to meet HIPAA standards, noted
Mark Hays, SVP of Product Development for Post-N-Track, “Claims are never aggregated
and the privacy of each client’s data is protected, with complete security.”

As the leaves begin to change in Tarboro this year, Williams isn’t worried about more
claim delays:
