Direct Web-based Transaction Exchange Now Available to ConnectiCare’s Participating Network Providers
Post-N-Track Provides Secure Web Environment for Physicians to File Claims and Other Electronic Transaction
Middletown, CT -- February 7, 2005 -- ConnectiCare announced today that it has signed an agreement with Post-N-Track Corporation (www.Post-N-Track.com) to provide a direct transaction exchange for claims and other electronic transactions to its network of 15,725 health care providers and 62 acute care hospitals in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York.
“We’re pleased to offer the Post-N-Track solution to ConnectiCare’s network providers,” said Mark Dixon, Chief Information Officer for ConnectiCare. “Now providers can submit their claims to ConnectiCare via the Web and receive an immediate receipt confirmation from Post-N-Track that their claims have been received and accepted for processing. This new Web solution is efficient and easy to use, and is available at no charge to all of our network providers,” Dixon added.
ConnectiCare participating providers can enroll online at www.Post-N-Track.com. “Providers can download and install the Post-N-Track web tool in less than five minutes,” said Marjorie O’Malley, President of Post-N-Track. “It’s very simple – providers just need a connection to the Web and do not need to change their existing business processes for claims submission to other payers.”
Post-N-Track also helps providers manage their claims. Every claim is automatically logged and tracked, similar to a Federal Express® package. With this feature providers can check the status of every claim and response with the online Claim Management Center. To protect confidential patient information, Post-N-Track includes a secure Web tunnel that automatically encrypts claims during transmission, providing a high level of protection that exceeds HIPAA security requirements.
“This solution fulfills one of the key promises of HIPAA,” said Mark Dixon, “Leveraging the Web, Post-N-Track enables providers to achieve administrative simplification and cost reduction in a secure web environment.”
